The Compliance Department of JSC "Yangi Angren TPP" organized an educational seminar for the heads and employees of the Thermal Automation and Measurements Workshop on the topic «International Standard ISO 37301:2021 "Compliance Management Systems", the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On Combating Corruption", the Law "On Conflict of Interest", as well as the practical application of the society's anti-corruption policy requirements». During the seminar, the main requirements of international standards ISO 37301:2021 and ISO 37001, the importance of implementing a compliance management system, forming an uncompromising position regarding corruption, preventing conflicts of interest, as well as the rights and obligations of managers and employees in this area were explained in detail.
Corruption risks that may arise in processes specific to the workshop's activities were discussed: procurement of control and measuring instruments and automation equipment, conducting metrological inspections, technical maintenance of automation systems, movement of electronic components, interaction with contracting organizations, as well as in procedures for preparing technical documentation. Practical recommendations for their timely detection and elimination were given. At the end of the seminar, an open dialogue was held with the participants, during which the importance of strict compliance with legislative and corporate documents, further improvement of compliance culture, as well as strengthening the principles of openness, transparency, and accountability in the enterprise was emphasized.
